"Spy" (2015)-film analysis

"Spy" is a 2015 movie that shows the story about a desk-bound CIA analyst volunteers that goes undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer. Her task is to prevent the global disaster.

The plot is about Susan Cooper and Bradley Fine, who are a brilliant couple , but only at work. Susan is a CIA agent without a licence to kill (use arms). Susan works in an underground office infested with rats and bats. She is completelyin love with Bradleythe charmingagent she is working with.
Despite her intelligence and magnificent skills, Susan a tangled a lot to find her place in the world. All this was caused by her insicunties rooted in her maternal relationship.
The sudden death of Fine -Caused by Rayna Boyakov's hands(boss of sinuousleaders, who is obsessedwith her own hairand determinedto sell a nucleardevice to a dangerous criminal) -made Susan acquire strength. Outside the Susan's officea life is much more complex no and whirling. This is the reason why for this missio there was in need of an agent who is not easy to to recognizearound. Despite all her fears, Susan arrives to confront Rayna in e casino of Rome, triggering an operation that shows the undisputed protagonist in different looks, wearing various wigs, various outfits and even changing her personality, and all of these to reach  her goal- to complicated the mission for Fine. In the and, Susan discovers that her beloved agent Bradley Fine is not drove and that he imitated his death on purpose.
"Spy" is a comedy movie. Comedy films are those genres of films thatare designed to elicit laughter from the audience. "Spy" is exactly that kind of movie that will amuse you, provoke enjoyment and entertain you. Usually comedies are light-hearted dramasI and this explains the love story between these two partners, or better- Susan's not reciprocal feelings. Another characteristicof comedies is there usually the protagonist try to escape from their day-by-day life. This is  another aspect  shown in this  movie movie, when  Susan asks for  the permission  to go for that  important  mission.  She tries to escape from her  usual life, fro her infested  office, and to  show to an entire  world that she  can do and b can do and be  more than a  simple desk- agent.

Mellissa McCarthy is the actress who plays Susan's role, and she is also the protagonist of this film. At the beginning of the film she appears as a simple woman who works in an office. She has a natural look (with a natural and very soft make-up). Her hair is also of a natural look designed - softly curled at the edges. She also shows her low self-esteem, because she criticizeher of tits in font of Fine. This demonstrates her absence of selfconfidence. One detail that is noticeable is than is noticeable is that she wears a bolo she wears a bolder colour of lipstier only whenshe is out side her office, other wise her lips have a natural look. There also is an errorfrom my point of view regarding makeup(orbetter it's continuity): when Susan gets a Conjunctivitis- she has it dun she has it during her working day, butit suddenly disappears when she is out in the pub with her colleague.l I think it is a continuity mistake because it is for sure th same day she had the infection because she was wearing the same  clothes she  had at work, so I think that this kind of infection  Can not disappear to in some hours.

First look she  had to wear  was e simple and very common look of an aged woman. Her outfit wasn't fashionable at all. She gave the idea of a woman from a low social class. She wears a wig with short curly hair.
The other look was the one where her identity changed into Penny Morgan-a divorced housewife who loves cats. She was wearing another wig with shorter hair but still curlyShe was also wearing glasses and her outfit was more "modern". Her outfit gave me the idea of those women that are divorced (as Penny is)and who want to start g new chapter in the story of their lifes.

The casino look was completely different from the previous looks I just described. Her outfit was very elegant consisting of a long black dress, she was wearing high- heels. Even her look  changed a lot. She has long, weavy black hair. the makeup is bolder, with bolder than usual lipstik and a soft smokey eyes makeup. This look makes her feel attractive and you can notice very well how her self/esteem became higher, from the way she talks to other people, from the way she walks and from every her action, her behaviour.

In the end of the film, Susan change again her hairstyle  into a shorter straight hair with a fringe, maintaining it's dark colour. But why dark hair-colour??? It is a question I ask myself as soon as I saw her radical change into a very self-confident woman, her change into a powerful and ambitious woman. I think that this is the real answer as well; her behaviour showa it! Black (or in gbeneral very dark colours) inspire power, confidence and determination. This is exactly what Susan became in the end of the film: a self-confident, determined and really strong woman. She prove everyone and first of all to herself that is is more than she shows and that nothing is impossible if you really want it.
